I was introduced to Sandy Roberts over a year ago when I began training sessions at CustomFitness By Lisa. I was impressed with Sandy’s knowledge and experience as a nutrition coach. I did not make drastic changes initially, but I started by adopting a few good habits and dropping a couple of bad habits (e.g. diet colas). One of the good habits was moving away from Gummy Vitamins and taking high quality supplements recommended by Sandy and also by my doctor. Sandy was incredibly generous with her time and wisdom. Gradually, with her continued encouragement and support, I learned a great deal about nutrition, food labeling and the ease of making healthy choices. I participated in a couple of her programs and benefited from the education, tools and group motivation. Sandy’s approach is flexible---not a one-size-fits-all approach that I’ve tried in the past. Sandy tailored a plan that worked for me. I have lost weight (and kept it off!) without sacrificing everything that I enjoy. More important is that I feel better in every way when I stick with the plan. As a result, I have substantially improved my eating choices and I feel so much better. Sandy was with me offering guidance and encouragement during the TLS challenge. She reviewed my food diary every day and critiqued my selections which helped me make good food choices. Sandy was always available to answer my questions and concerns whether by e-mail or telephone. She believed in my success and made it possible for me to believe that I could be successful. Because of Sandy I have developed new eating habits that I feel will carry me thru life. With her help I lost 15.5 pounds and 15.5 inches. I feel very healthy. Sandy Roberts has been invaluable to me, helping me in my journey to be a healthier person. I wanted to lose weight but was not motivated enough until I actually spoke with Sandy. She is very personable and patient, answering all my questions and assuring me I could do it. So I attended a six week course of weekly meetings and learned about correcting my metabolism, how artificial sweeteners actually turns on the body to crave sugar, and how diet soda leeches calcium out of our bones. In each class she would focus on a new topic and give you many tips for traveling and eating in restaurants. One of the most important emphasis was to keep your blood sugar level with mindful eating. I followed her directions and was successful in reaching and passing my set goal. I have been able to follow the program and maintain my goal weight for two years now and am definitely healthier and feel so much better.
